    A pole-lathe is a wood-turning lathe that is operated manually. Pressing on a foot treadle pulls on a cord that is wrapped around the piece of wood being turned.

    I’m a beginner at woodturning joining the club about two years ago and with the very helpful lessons provided by the members on a Tuesday, I’ve attempted to turn my first yarn bowl.

  • 3 Steps to Heaven

    We lost our best friend Bobby dog so I made a Urn for his ashes. The brass plague I had made, the top I turned 3 steps (3 steps to Heaven) and a single Teardrop on top.

    As its title suggest this lovely box is made from Hawthorn and decorated with Spanish Ring Knots.
