Again this year the hall at the leisure centre was buzzing with activity.

There was plenty of support from the public as usual wether you wanted just to browse the beautifully objects that were on display by the various wood turning clubs or needed to stock up on tools , wood finishers there was everything that a woodturner / hobbyist needed.

The raffle prize was a nice medium sized Axminster AC-305WL Variable speed lathe which I myself have and use most of the time.

There were demonstrations from several professionals Emma Cook, Mick Hanbury, Steve Heeley, Simon Hope, John Johnson and Robert Till along with club members demonstrating their skills on the lathe.

The pre-show Competition was to make a chess set (Board and pieces) unfortunately we did not enter this as no volunteers came forward in our club.

Friday was the Bowl competition see pictures below.

On Saturday they ran a competition to make a Goblet with a ring on the stem in 90 minutes pictures below.

Club member Lionel made a lovely example but unfortunately did not come in the fist three all though his conformed to organisers requests.
